The Exhibition
Lately I have personal been going through a lot such as things at home and family, and trying to balance school and a social life. I have been really stressed lately, but no matter what I always remain to have a good attitude. When I tell my friends what I have going on they always state "I never would have guessed". I am this way because I always think someone has it worse than me and has way more going on. So I wanted my art to show how I have been feeling for the past 5 months. Yes this art shows emotions, sadness, pain, and hurt. Then I wanted to show what I think during these hard times which is IT WILL BE OKAY.

Inspiration
Somber Mood meaning "is used to describe situations, facial expressions, or moods that are dark, gloomy, or depressing. Something that is somber is often thought of as "in shadow," as in "the shadow of grief," or "the shadow of a bad mood." The artist that is unknown took the meaning of "somber mood" and put it into a art piece. The artist also use dark colors but made it appealing the the viewers eyes. I used the dark colors and the detail. One thing I didn't follow with is the different textures and when you look st it you feel like you can feel the different layers.
expirmentation
planning I wanted to show how I have been feeling lately and show my emotions and like my head spinning so much. First I took pictures of my self with bright light so I could see every detail. I went back and sketched out the photos that I took. I knew that I wanted to add something positive in the back. Which is where the heart came in from.

This art was created by Vincent van Gogh it was created when he was at a stable place in life, even tho he knew his seizures could return at any time. It shows his pain and emotions. Then it leaves you wondering if he is overthinking or holding his head in sorrow.
Old Man in Sorrow (On the Threshold of Eternity) (oil on canvas, 32x25-1/2 inches), belongs to the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo, Netherlands.

Overall This project tested my patients. I would like to try and add more ink and next time sketch something with more detail. Even though this art made me go crazy, because I am not a patient person. Even with all the hard work and time I would still choose to do this project again. Some reasons being that everyone has a different opinion on something, and I was able to voice on how I feel about something and give it different texture. Also I knew I wanted it to look sad and hurt so with that I took the value of the ink and the color and put it darker or lighter where I wanted it.
