EXPEDITION TEXTThe meaning of this art piece was a flag and I wanted it was it freedom but then I also took different colors that would strengthen the meaning of freedom so for example I chose yellow for positivity and happiness I chose pink for friendship and inner peace blue for a wisdom strength and loyalty and then in the middle I chose to put the word free in bold black letters because black represents power in the word free is such a powerful word. I was also shows the structure of the letters to be strong and take him to represent they have to be strong and not easy to break.
PROCESS My first task was to stretch a 3ft by 3ft canvas to use for my self portrait.

inspiration
I USED CANADA’S FLAG AS INSPIRATION BECAUSE I REALLY LIKED THE SET UP AND HOW SIMPLE IT LOOKS AND THAT THERE WEREN’T MANY COLORS USED. ALSO HOW THERE IS A LEAF IN THE MIDDLE
PlanningThese are some of my thoughts and ideas on how I was going to construct and put all my ideas together. I went into detail on why I choose every little detail.Even down to why I used each color I did. I really wanted my art to POP!
Reflection During this project I really had fun blending because it’s one of my stronger techniques. i’m also really good at finding colors and connecting the meanings so when I had to do that I was really strong at it. The easiest thing about this whole project was finance inspiration because I knew right away that Pavard sit out because of its colors contrast the volume that I had in the art but then I also know that we’re doing the flag project last year for my ad does the Canadian flag resemble that the most in its meaning and his layout which helped a lot. i’m one of my difficulties was getting the white pay him I let the yellow blue and pink dry him for a day or two and then putting the white on it kind of early to mix with the colors underneath so I had to let the white dry and then go back over it. The thing that took the longest is probably putting the canvas together which is like almost 5 things to do I’m also waiting for the gesso to dry to be able to paint and then paint over three layers of paint.

Andy Warhol:
Andy created pop art so that when you are looking at the art piece you can tell what the main message is. He also has different things going on in the background and uses cartoon or comic like lettering. So I choose to have pop art as a inspiration because I want someone to look at my piece and know what I am trying to say or what my point is without explanation. EXPERIMENTATIONFor my EXPERIMENTATION i Blended two different colors together so it didn't look like it was just painted on.the second one i did was taking white paint outlining the word bubble then coloring inside trying not to get the colors mixed up. contrast

Act questions
CLEARLY EXPLAIN HOW YOU ARE ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE CAUSE EFFECT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN YOUR INSPIRATION AND ITS EFFECT ON YOUR ARTWORK?
BOTH OF MY INSPIRATIONS HELPED ME FOCUS ON A LAYOUT YOU COULD SAY TO FOLLOW. I KNEW I WANTED TO FOLLOW THE DARK OR BLACK AND WHITE WITH COLOR WORDS LIKE BARBARA KRUGER. THEN I ALSO KNEW I WANTED TO FOCUS ON SOMETHING THAT STOOD OUT AND GRABBED YOU EYE. SO I TRIED TO PUT BOTH ART PIECES TOGETHER.
WHAT IS THE OVERALL APPROACH THE AUTHOR HAS REGARDING THE TOPIC OF YOUR INSPIRATION?
MY CENTRAL IDEA AND THEME WAS POP ART AND PHOTOGRAPHS.
WHAT KIND OF GENERALIZATIONS AND CONCLUSIONS HAVE YOU DISCOVERED ABOUT PEOPLE, IDEAS, CULTURE,ETC. WHILE YOU RESEARCHED YOUR INSPIRATION?
WHILE DOING MY RESEARCH I REALIZED THAT YOU COULD HAVE A WAY TO APPROACH SOMETHING OR A IDEA YOU WANT TO GET ACROSS. FOR EXAMPLE BOTH BARBARA KRUGER AND ANDY WARHOL WANTED TO HAVE SOMETHING SIMPLE WITH WORDS INVOLVED, BUT STILL HAVE A BIGGER MEANING OVERALL.
WHAT IS THE CENTRAL IDEA OR THEME AROUND YOUR INSPIRATIONAL RESEARCH?
THE CENTRAL IDEA AROUND BOTH OF MY INSPIRATIONS SOMETHING LITERAL YET THERE IS A POINT OE MESSAGE THAT IS TRYING TO GET ACROSS TO THE READERS.
WHAT KIND OF INFERENCES DID YOU MAKE WHILE READING YOUR RESEARCH?
WHEN READING I INFERRED THAT THERE ARE MULTIPLE WAYS TO GET A POINT ACROSS. ALSO YOU COULD DO SOMETHING SO SIMPLE THAT YOU PUT A LOT OF WORK IN, BUT STILL GET A MUCH BIGGER POINT ACROSS.
